The transition from stuffing to stockings is upon us.

Happy Monday, everyone!

I know, I know—Monday is usually a bummer, especially after the Thanksgiving long weekend. But hang in there, the holiday season is just around the corner—it’s time to deck the halls and dust off those “ugly sweaters!”

As we transition from stuffing to stockings, it's wild how many brands are vying for our attention. However, let’s not forget about the magic of shopping small and local. Gifts from smaller businesses often come with a personal touch and a cool story. So, to help you out, I’ve rounded up a few awesome small and local makers that I think would make perfect stocking stuffers:

Happy Body Soaps
I met Dani while working at the Woodinville Farmer's Market this summer, and even though I’m usually not big on small-batch soaps, one whiff of hers had me hooked! I decided to give it a shot, and wow—was I impressed! I may have accidentally bought other soaps afterward, only to realize they just don’t compare. Dani’s soaps are in a league of their own!

Soul Chai
I met Sally and Esar, from Soul Chai at a sampling event at Mixed Pantry. I used to think my chai was the best, but then I tried theirs. I won’t say it’s better—my ego just won’t let me make that claim—but it’s seriously awesome! And their chai goes perfectly with our Cumin & Green Chili shortbread.

Little Paperies
I bumped into the creative couple behind Little Paperies at the Woodinville Farmer's Market as well! They make the cutest stickers, cards, cups, coasters, and more. Little Paperies is a top pick for my son’s stocking—super fun stuff!

Doosra
I discovered Doosra while hanging out at Mixed Pantry, and I’m obsessed with their sweet and savory Indian snacks. Their trail mix and bites are a delicious twist on Indian classics—they've got my Dad's name all over it!

Desi Bakes
Check out this cookbook written by former MasterChef contestant Hetal Vasavada. Imagine whipping up Saffron Madeleines, Masala Chai Semifreddo, and Kesar Pista Cream Puffs. I know my sister would love this book! Sorry for spoiling the surprise, Merry Christmas!

Talkback Snacks
And last but definitely not least, we’ve got our spicy shortbread cookies! We all have that extra sassy friend who always speaks their mind. Well, now there’s a sweet and spicy shortbread cookie just for them!

Enjoy exploring these fantastic small and local businesses. And remember, Stay Spicy!
